Can a leopard change its spots?

I have always been partial to a bit of leopard print although I try to avoid the Bet Lynch/Pat Butcher look - however hard that can be.

Leopard print can be difficult to wear and I certainly don't recomend wearing a lot of it at once. I prefer my animal print to be in the form of a statement piece ... a scarf, a bag, shoes, maybe even my nails ... with the rest of the outfit toned down to avoid looking too busy and loud.

Last week I purchased another statement leopard print item for my wardrobe, this time a pair of boots. I was drawn to these as they look very like a pair of louboutins that I spotted Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole wearing in a magazine. Ugh, how naff am i?

Anyway, I spotted a much cheaper version on Boohoo.com for £30 and thought I would order and see what they are like. In real life the leopard print is furry. Not like expensive horse hair furry but like fuzzy felt furry. This makes them look a l'il bit on the cheap side, however, despite this they are very comfortable even with such a high heel and I figure that worn with the right outfit, they would make the animal print statement I am after.

Oh, and they have a red sole ... clearly trying to rip off Louboutin but I'm not complaining ;) For only £30 I thought they were worth keeping and I am sure I can introduce them into an otherwise dark and dreary Winter wardrobe.

Copycat: Zoe Saldana

I have jumped on the bow trend bandwagon recently despite my best efforts to avoid it (I never feel quite girly enough for them) and I tell you something, it is becoming quite an obsession!

When I spotted this pic of the gorgeous Zoe Saldana at the Women in Film Crystal & Lucy Awards, it wasn't her pretty ruffled dress nor the nonchalantly placed black bow belt that got my pulse racing ...
it was the pièce de résistance - Christian Louboutin 'Madame Butterfly' heels.

Utterly lush aren't they?

Well, if you don't fancy forking out a few hundred quid for them, you can find some look-a-likes on the High Street.

Next have this lovely Ivory copy which are so similar in style and shape ... at a modest £25 you can afford to get them dyed to whatever colour you fancy!

Even cheaper is Matalan at £18. These beauties come in grey or a gorgeous coral pink which is lovely for Summer.

I think Matalan wins it for me this time. I just need to find a floral summer playsuit to go with them and I will be sorted for Summer nights sipping cocktails and chilling by the barbeque.

Bargain Louboutin Dupes!

Someone mentioned on twitter that I have is-shoes!! They are not far wrong.

I have been on a shoe buying frenzy recently and on my way I have discovered a few designer dupes on the High Street.

The current offering comes from Next - their shoes are schmokin' at the mo so make sure you go and take a look. Bargainous too!

These shoes aren't an exact dupe of course (is anything an exact dupe?) but it is pretty close in style, shape and height. The Next heels may not have a red sole but instead the sole has a lace pattern all over it. Details, i love 'em!

The best thing about these shoes? They are only £28! Mucho Cheapo! :D

Cupcake Heaven!

You might remember a while ago I posted some pics of some designer junk food?? Well, here is an even more scrumptious version of our designer labels .... CUPCAKES!! I am literally salivating over these pics, my sweet tooth will certainly not help me fit into anything tho!I think i would find it hard to choose if faced with this selection but so far loving the Ageny Provacateur with its boobie-esque cakes and matching nipple tassles lol ;)
