Wish me luck!

Tonight I will attempt the '30 day shred' ... a 30 minute workout to be completed daily that promises quick results.  I have heard a lot of good things (weight loss, inch loss) and bad things (gruelling workout and Jillian is a bitch!) but most of all I have heard only reports on great results from it.

I am planning on doing the 'shred' in conjunction with my current gym routine and some military fitness classes that I will start on Wednesday night so I really do need all the luck I can get.

I hope I can still walk by the end of the week!

Who else has tried the 30 day shred?  How did you find it?

  1. I'm on Day 15 right now! :D

To be honest I don't find Jillian a bitch at all, she is against the "false messages of lethargy" that we're given like just take the stairs instead of the lift and all that stuff rather than people telling us we need to just work out properly but apart from the fact that she does make you work hard she's not actually a bitch. Well, I don't think so.

I don't weigh in till Wednesday but last week after completing level 1 I hadn't lost weight on the scales but you do notice your body getting stronger when you realsie you don't need to take breaks in places where you used to have to and stuff.

I hadn't lost any inches at the end of level 1 last Wednesday and I can't say for certain because I'm not retaking them till the end of level 2 but it has been commented that the tops of my arms and my middle look more toned so I presume it's working, and I'my really glad I didn't give up after finishing level 1 like I wated to because I hadn't lost a lot of weight or inches... (I tend to get de-motivated quite fast!)

(Also not trying to plug my own blog here because I hate people who do that but I did keep a day by day diary of what I felt during level 1 and posted it at the bottom of my last Wednesday Weigh In post so if that would be of any help or inspiration or whatever it's there!)

Sorry for the mile long comment!

  6. I hope it goes well for you! I've been doing it recently but only maybe every other day on average (maybe slightly less actually this past week) but am really enjoying it. You can make it as hard as you like really - take a break if it getting too much, follow the "easier" moves etc. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I am x
