Here is my Nail of the Day (or yesterday), take a good look as it's for one day and one day only! Never again will green nail polish grace my folicles! I took one look at my nails once applied and instantly thought "Grotbags". Nothing about this colour made me feel classy, elegant or sophisticated - all the things I'm not ... but aspire to be. Maybe my age is catching up with me and it is becoming a little bit more difficult to be as daring as I once was? Who knows - I just know this colour is not for me.
On a positive note the colour applied really well with only 2 coats required. It is smooth and the finish has a lovely shine. It is a pretty colour in the bottle but unfortunately made me look like a Halloween reject!
How are you finding green nail polish? Love or Loathe?
xx
I'm on the fence with this one. It took me a while to "get used" to it.
ReplyDeleteGrotbags!? I'd prefer a Rod and Emu colour anyday! (Royal Blue)
i've never been a fan of the whole mint green thing, it just seems a step too far. well done for giving it a go though!!x
ReplyDeleteAs you know, for me its loathe... I had this on yesterday and it had to come off before anyone saw me. The application and consistancy was lovely but I just can't pull off mint green nails :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have the Barry M one but I have a colour similiar and Im actually liking it..lol!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure at 1st but I went all out toes and fingers yesterday and I liked it. Everyone else hated it except for my sister's gay best friend who thought it was MAC peppermint patti- so impressed! x
ReplyDeletehaha loving the grotbags comment!!totally I felt like a witch! Not for me, green just shouldn't be worn on the nails!xx
ReplyDeletei dont know if it would suit me but i just love the color. Its the exact same shade as my favorite icecream from the little gelateria around the corner from our apartment :)
ReplyDeleteI love this unique color. I would wear it if I could get my hands on it.
ReplyDeleteI dont think that this color is sooo bad. It wouldn't be a color for me to wear on my nails. I like the bright greens better.
ReplyDeleteIf you asked me a couple of years back, I would have cringed even by looking at it...
ReplyDeleteHowever, I gave it a go, and it seems summery and fresh, even if it's a bit unusual...lifts my mood in a way...!!!
Definitely not work suitable though...;)
i feel the same, i got peppermint patty and just eugh no!wore it once then looked at it again last week...put it on and went to work, after half hour there it was off :( do not like at all!
ReplyDeleteLol i love it, you're right its not classy at all but my normal everyday look is more aimed at fun. I think its cute!
ReplyDelete@Em i think it looks great on other ppl but for me - i just look ridiculous! i've seen loads of girls wear its so well which made me want to try it! I think i'm just too old BOO :( xx
ReplyDeleteI don't think you are too old lol - I put this colour on too, and I think it's a lot brighter than I expected it to be, but I quite like it - its fresh and a bit different! Loved reading this though - you made me laugh out loud haha xx
ReplyDeleteI love this colour! I ended up with 3 bottles though, not sure I love it that much!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving green nails! I've had on Spring green by Barry M for about 2 weeks now, but I managed to buy Mint green the other day and now can't wait for this colour to chip to use it!

I've got this and love it - watch out for Chanel bringing out exactly the same colour in September....then nobody will be too old/too young/wrong skintone...it will be everywhere! And we'll be over it by then having done that trend wayyyy ago!
ReplyDelete@BritishBeautyBlogger Yes I can just imagine everyone thinking its the new craze come September lol! I just can't carry this colour off at all ... wish I could though x
